Terms and Conditions

Please read the following T's and C's - which are all very standard for an online store like this,  and fully compliant with the relevant legislation.   If you have any concerns then please don't hesitate to get in touch by telephone before placing an order.

Acceptance of online orders 

When an order is placed,  it constitutes an offer by you made to us to purchase the goods specified.   Your offer is only accepted by us when we email you to confirm that we are despatching your order.   No contract exists until we send you that confirmation,   and the contract only covers items that we confirm we will despatch.  Title of the goods only passes to the purchaser once payment has been made and the goods have been despatched by us.
 
We reserve the right to withhold this confirmation where transaction details are not complete,  for whatever reason.    We also reserve the right not to enter into any contract if fraud is suspected.
 
We endeavour to ensure that all prices displayed are correct.  However we reserve the right,  if prices are displayed in error,  not to accept the order – in these cases we will always contact you to agree the outcome,  which may be to cancel the order,  or arrange payment of any shortfall or refund of any overpayment. 
 
Despatch of accepted orders
 
We will normally despatch orders to UK addresses within 2 business days.   If we are unable to do this,  for whatever reason.  we will contact you.   UK orders are despatched by the most appropriate means with regard to weight and volume.   For printed music and small instruments and accessories this will normally be via Royal Mail 1st class post;  for larger or more valuable items we will normally use a reputable national shipping provider.
 
Orders from non-UK addresses
 
We can not accept online orders for delivery addresses outside the UK.  Please telephone us on +44 1434 643968 to purchase items from abroad.
 
Cancellations and returns
 
We are governed by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000,   under which you have a right to cancel your purchase provided that we receive written notification within 10 business days from the date your goods are delivered.   
 
If you are returning goods that are unwanted,  but not defective and not sent in error,  then in order to obtain a refund these must be returned in their original packaging along with all manuals, documentation and accessories,  and must be in a complete and saleable condition.  You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods,  and responsible for their safe delivery – any claims for loss in transit should be addressed to the company you engaged to return the goods to us.
 
Please note that we cannot give refunds for returned used items where hygiene may be an issue,  for example reeds,  unless they are defective.   Similarly we cannot give refunds in respect of goods packaged in sealed packaging where opening the packaging would render the goods unsaleable. 
 
If you wish to return your goods because they are defective or sent in error,  we will refund the cost of returning the goods.
 
If the above conditions are met,  we will refund the purchase price (plus any reasonable return costs in the case of defective goods) within 30 days of your written notice of your intention to return the goods. 
 
 
Events outside our control
 
We shall not be liable for delay,  losses or any other failure if this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to industrial dispute,  war,  insurrection or acts of god.
 
Complaints
 
Please address any complaints or queries in writing to the address given on the “contact us” page.  We will endeavour to respond within 5 business days.
